Our community is focused on bringing together LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies who are passionate about theatre. We provide a safe place for all who want to expand their acting skills or who just want to get involved in drama productions. From being on stage in the spotlight to behind the scenes, we have a place for everyone!
Anyone who is interested in theatre is welcome to become a member of our community. We welcome members from all backgrounds and levels of experience, from beginners to expert, ages 10- 110! You do not have to be LGBTQ+, but you must be an ally.
We aim to perform two productions throughout the year. Each production is chosen very carefully by the Director's team and designed to provide opportunities for learning, networking, and having fun with like-minded individuals. The Director's team ensures all of our shows are family friendly productions.
There is no fee to join TSCC. We are a non profit organization and ask for a small donation from each cast and crew member, for each production, to cover basic costs like scripts and licensing. We have fundraising events and sponsors that help with a lot of the other costs for every show.
We rehearse once a week (usually on a weekend day) for several months before each production, this way it does not interfere with work or school schedules. We do have a "tech week" the week prior to the show as well that we expect all cast and crew to be present for.
Yes. We contract for our productions one at at time so you can be a part of only one if you choose to. However, a lot of our cast and crew return because they enjoy it so much and form great friendships.
